When you click

✦A road trip with no itinerary would be a nightmare with most people. Here it's the entire point. The Spark takes the exit because the sign looked interesting; The Daydreamer has fallen for the town before you've even parked. Nobody checks the time until the gas light comes on.
✦At 2am on somebody's floor, The Daydreamer admits the thing they've never told anyone about what they actually want from their life. The Spark doesn't make it weird and doesn't try to fix it — just says 'yes, that, obviously,' and means it hard enough that The Daydreamer starts believing it.
✦Songs arrive at odd hours with no message attached, and somehow always at the right moment. The Daydreamer's playlists become The Spark's entire summer. Nothing here requires justifying: 'this made me think of you' functions as a complete sentence in both directions, and always has.

When you clash

◇Two people who hate deciding things can burn ninety minutes on where to eat. The Spark keeps generating options; The Daydreamer keeps deferring to whatever the other one wants. You end up at the usual place, mildly annoyed with yourselves, with half the evening already gone.
◇The Spark brings the whole group, always. The Daydreamer wanted one afternoon of just the two of you and can't find a way to say so without sounding ungrateful, so they go quieter and quieter while everybody else has a genuinely wonderful time around them.
◇Neither of you will start the hard conversation. Small hurts get filed away unmentioned and stay perfectly preserved for months. Then one ordinary Tuesday something minor arrives, and out comes a list of things from March that the other person truly never knew about.

How others see you two

To everyone else, you're the ones who are always in on something. Friends notice you've built an entire private language of references, and that a single look across a dinner table can put you both under it laughing while the rest of the group waits to be let in. People assume The Spark is the extroverted half and The Daydreamer is shy — then watch The Daydreamer become the loudest person in the room the second it's only their circle. Nobody can make a firm plan with you two. Everybody wants an invitation anyway.

Reaching each other

Appoint a decider before you're hungry. Pick who chooses tonight, hand the other one tomorrow, and the ninety-minute stalemate stops happening. It isn't a romantic system, but neither is bickering about parking at half past nine.
Ask The Daydreamer whether they want the group version or the just-us version. They almost never volunteer that answer, and they'll agree to whatever you propose while quietly wishing you had offered the smaller one instead.
Say the thing in the week it happens, not in the March it's still living in. The Spark can take it — what they can't take is discovering a year later that they hurt you and you carried it around alone.

Type codes only go so far. Two people with the same four letters can attach, argue, and show love in completely different ways — and that part only the people close to you can answer.
