When you click

✦The walk home after a party is the best part of the night. The Spark replays who said what; The Oracle explains what was actually happening underneath it — who's about to quit, who isn't okay. Two hours of gossip that somehow qualifies as emotional archaeology, and you're both wide awake for it.
✦The Spark is bright all evening, right up until they aren't, and they've gotten expert at nobody noticing. The Oracle notices. No announcement, just a low 'hey, you good?' in the kitchen while everyone else is in the other room. First time all week somebody asked and meant it.
✦The Oracle has been indoors with their convictions for eleven days running. The Spark turns up with tickets to something ridiculous and refuses to leave without them. Out in the world, The Oracle remembers they actually like it here — and that being pulled by someone who truly wants you along feels nothing like being dragged.

When you clash

◇The Oracle has been looking forward to Saturday for two weeks, exactly as it was agreed. On Friday The Spark casually adds four people and a second venue. To The Spark that's generosity. To The Oracle it's the evening they were counting on dissolving quietly, without a vote being taken.
◇When something's wrong, The Oracle goes underground to sort it out alone first. The Spark, who processes out loud and immediately, experiences that silence as a verdict. By the time The Oracle resurfaces with a considered, kind answer, The Spark has already lived through three imaginary versions of the ending.
◇You both feel things at full volume, so a small disagreement can escalate into a two-hour examination of what it means about the friendship. Someone has to be willing to say 'we're tired and this is genuinely about the restaurant.' Neither of you has ever volunteered for that job.

How others see you two

Everyone thinks you're the emotionally healthy ones, which is funny to both of you. At gatherings, people watch The Spark work the room, then spot The Oracle in a corner having the one conversation that somebody badly needed that night — and they clock how often the two of you find each other's eyes across the room. Friends bring you their breakups. Coworkers call you the therapists, half joking. There's also a standing complaint that you disappear together for forty minutes mid-party and come back looking like you solved something none of them heard about.

Reaching each other

When The Oracle goes quiet, don't fill it. Say 'take your time, I'm not going anywhere' and then genuinely go do something else. They come back with something worth the wait, and the waiting is the part that proves you meant it.
Say the small no out loud. 'I'd rather keep Saturday just us' costs thirty seconds and saves a week of resentment — and The Spark would far rather know than accidentally spend your energy on your behalf.
Set a rule for arguments: name whether this is a small thing or a big thing before you start. Two people who both go deep by default need one agreed-upon shallow end, or every disagreement turns into a referendum on the whole friendship.

Type codes only go so far. Two people with the same four letters can attach, argue, and show love in completely different ways — and that part only the people close to you can answer.
