The Vibe Curator doesn't explain their taste and the Devil's Advocate can't stop explaining theirs, so the first few months are mostly comedy. When you click

A secondhand shop, a menu in a language neither of you reads, an album from 1973 — the Vibe Curator points at exactly the right one without saying why, and the Devil's Advocate spends the walk home constructing a whole theory about why it was right. Both of you enjoy this equally.

- ◇One of you lives in what could be; the other lives in what's actually here — this light, this song, this afternoon. So the Devil's Advocate can spend a beautiful Sunday theorising about next year, while the Vibe Curator sits beside them wishing they'd just be in it.
How others see you two
People are always a little confused by how this works, and then they watch you in a room together. Others notice the Devil's Advocate goes quiet the moment the Vibe Curator finally says something — the only person who reliably earns that. Your circle has worked out to send the Devil's Advocate to argue with the landlord and the Vibe Curator to choose the restaurant, and nobody questions the split. The best description anyone's landed on: a documentary crew where one narrates nonstop and one just frames the shot, somehow making the same film.
Reaching each other
- Devil's Advocate: 'why' is your love language and their least favourite question. Try 'show me' instead. And when a room gets loud, check where they went — stepping outside with them for five minutes reads as care in a way no amount of talking does.
- Vibe Curator: they aren't testing you, they're interested. A short answer counts — 'it just feels right' is a complete sentence. And tell them straight out when you need the volume turned down, because they will never guess it on their own.
- Build in slow time. One standing thing with no agenda — a drive, a market, a whole afternoon — where nothing has to be solved or decided. It's the format where the Vibe Curator opens up and the Devil's Advocate finally arrives in the present.
